Our story began in 1889 when the Diocese of Fargo was established. We continue to serve 30 counties in eastern North Dakota, spreading Christ's love and mercy to Catholics and non-Catholics alike. There are 132 priests (including active, retired and those serving outside the diocesan area), 42 permanent deacons, 89 religious sisters and 131 parishes (as of 2015).
