We are the people of Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, Port Isabel Texas. We, who believe in Jesus Christ and have received new life through baptism are the Church. We belong to Jesus Christ and to each other. Each of us has been blessed with many gifts and talents. As Baptized persons we are called to participate actively in the mission of the Church. We are called to give generously of our time and talents to the continuously enrich the church's apostolate. Some of us are called to special roles of leadership. We know that we have been given much and that much is required of us. We seek to build community in our neighborhoods, in our parish, and we support one another. At Baptism we assumed the responsibility to carry forward the Mission of Jesus. We see this Mission as three-fold: 1. To Proclaim the Gospel 2. To build up a community of Believers 3. To witness God's saving love by ministering to the needs of others.
