St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church is proud to have been serving the Greater Pittsburgh area for over 114 years.  We are located next to the beautiful Renziehausen Park, directly across the street from McKeesport Senior High School, and bordering the campus of Penn State Greater Allegheny.  Our parishioners are a very friendly group, and they are always excited about welcoming new members into our church.
We are a Byzantine Catholic Church, but everyone is welcome to attend.  If you are a practicing Roman Catholic, attending any Byzantine Catholic Church fulfills your Sunday obligation.  While there are some differences between the services, we all share a common love of the Gospel and Jesus Christ.  The Byzantine Liturgy incorporates a lot of singing, and many people have found it to be a truly beautiful and enriching experience.  While our church is proud of its Ukrainian heritage, our parishioners come from a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds.  With the exception of an occasional song, all of our Divine Liturgies and other services are conducted in English.  Jesus Christ was accepting of people from all walks of life, and we at St. John's strive to emulate that as well.

  • Pastor - Fr. Gregory Madeya
  • Cantor - James Morozowich
