The Parish of Immaculate Heart of Mary is a Roman Catholic Congregation established on December 3, 1948 with the appointment of Rev. (later Monsignor) I. Mitchell Cartwright as Pastor. The Parish is located along Loch Raven Boulevard on six acres of land donated by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Guidera.
Since then the Parish has grown to a thriving Catholic Community of about 2300 households, a school enrollment of nearly 500, a religious education program to serve the needs of about 150 more children as well as many other organizations and ministries for people of all ages.
