St. Andrew Kim Catholic Church is located in Olney, Maryland, a northern suburb of Washington D.C., the capital of the United States.
St. Andrew Kim Dae-Geon, the first Korean priest and martyr, is the patron saint of the church.
In October 1965, Korean catholic residents and students in D.C. area gathered at The National Shrine of The Immaculate Conception for the first time.
Then the church community was formally established in 1974 and moved to College Park, MD in 1981.
On November 17, 2002, the church was moved to a beautiful new church that was built in Olney, Maryland.
St. Andrew Kim Catholic Church has been the place of the spiritual and social life of the Korean catholic as well as Korean community in the Greater Washington metropolitan area for the last 30 years.
